Changwu Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is at Village Changwu in the northwestern suburbs of Jiangshan County, western Zhejiang. The Changwu Fm was named by Lu Yanhao et al., (1955).
Synonym: (长坞组)
Lithology and Thickness
The formation is composed of yellowish green shale and siltstone. In the type area, the Changwu Fm is 280 m thick.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It rests conformably on the argillaceous limestone of the Huangnigang Fm
Upper contact
It is disconformably overlain by the Upper Carbonaceous sandstone in the type section. Regionally, it is conformably overlain by the Wenchang Fm of latest Ordovician.

Fossils
Lu, Mu Enzhi et al. (1955) reported the graptolite Dicellograptus cf. complanatus and trilobite Corrugatagnostus cf. perrugatus, and correlated it with the Wufeng Fm in the Yangtze Province. Lately, graptolite Normalograptus angustus was found from the middle part in the type area by Chen Xu, and brachiopods Foliomena, Tcherskidium and trilobites Collis (= Sinampyxina), Ampyxinella, Huangnigania were found from the upper part in the vicinity of the type area by Rong Jiayu and Zhan Renbin, Han Nairen respectively.
